Project - IT Office, Stesalit Tower, New Town
Client’s Requirements
The client’s requirement was to design an IT office interior that reflects the essence of Calcutta and its rich intellectual heritage. The concept focuses on showcasing the city’s historic background, highlighting renowned scientists, their discoveries, and the spirit of innovation that emerged from the city, creating a workspace inspired by knowledge, research, and technological progress.
Initial Site Condition
The initial site condition was a bare office space with exposed columns, beams, fire lines, and unfinished concrete flooring, providing a raw structure for the interior development.
Solution Provided by Us
Our solution transformed the bare office into a thematic workspace that celebrates the scientific legacy of Calcutta. The design integrates artistic elements and symbolic forms to visually represent the city’s history of discoveries, research, and innovation, creating a unique environment that connects technology with heritage.
Key Design Elements:
- Engraved reception wall featuring a hand-painted collage depicting the central theme.
- Ceiling design inspired by laser-cut molecular model forms.
- Hand-painted wall murals illustrating scientific activities in early-era Calcutta.
